AVCHD Supported Blu-ray players – as of July 2009
Below is a list of Blu-ray players that advertise that they play AVCHD encoded disks. The forums are still at odds as to the accuracy of the list and there is still some question that some AVCHD authored disks not using the official authoring properties, some obscure; causes some grief. That means the software tools that create the AVCHD file structure before burning to disk have not complied completely with the AVCHD specification for broadest compatibility.
AVCHD support at HomeDVD remains cautionary. Customers who really want AVCHD, must provide proof of ownership of a player in the list, and would allow us to verify operation of the disks we produce on your player. Disks that do not work on customers players but do on our in house players, require the customer to still make payment on invoices for work done.
