Taking professional frame by frame telecine to the next level

HomeDVD now offers true home movie film to HD transfer services yielding 2 mega pixels per film frame, in uncompressed graphics file output like RGB, TIF or raw BAYER in either 8 or 12 bit per pixel depth for exceptional dynamic range and image clarity.  In addition, recovery of a films inherently rich colors, its deep blacks and high intra-image details are only possible when corrected gamma curves unique to the original film stock properties are applied.  

We do not use consumer based HD camcorders with smaller higher noise sensors, economical optics, external condenser lenses with mirrors or HDMI based data ports that may precompress the video data.  We use professional highly programmable CCD imagers that, under computer control allows the great degree of photographic processing latitude necessary to yield true HD level results.

If requested, the HD digitized film frames will be color corrected for cast removal and have adjustments made for natural color enhancement and for maximum film contrast ratio as was originally recorded, yet will yield the more subtle film look and feel to your film to video transfer that would be expected of any feature film presentation. 

Restoration services are also available using smart degrain and deblur filters. Ask about our archival grade digital film repair services for 16mm film - torn or missing pieces of film frames are reconstructed.

The entire imaging process chain remains in its uncompressed form until the AVCHD or Blu-ray authoring cycle to ensure no induced compression artifacts are introduced in the final output.
